OrchLab includes two free events each year that are open to any disability organisation to attend.

OrchLab Festival Day

OrchLab Festival Day is our annual celebration of accessible music-making at the Royal Festival Hall, which is open to adults with disabilities and their carers/support workers.

At OrchLab Festival Day you will be able to:

  • Sing, play, join in and have fun in a relaxed environment
  • Meet musicians from the LPO and Drake Music
  • Watch the premiere screening of a new OrchLab film featuring our Community Partners
  • Hear the full London Philharmonic Orchestra in rehearsal*
  • “Have a go” at playing accessible instruments designed by Drake Music for OrchLab
  • Enjoy light refreshments, coffee and tea

*Subject to availability

Please note that no under 18s are permitted. Guests must pre-book their places – it will not be possible to turn up without a ticket on the day. Financial support is available to support travel or staff costs for disabled guests.

Our next OrchLab Festival Day will take place on Wednesday 27 November 2024. If you would like more information or have any questions contact orchlab@lpo.org.uk or call 07793 837357.

OrchLab Open Web Training

This is a free, hands-on training session on Zoom for staff, carers, volunteers or family members who work with disabled adults.

During the training, you will be guided through a variety of online music activities on the OrchLab website and discover top tips, musical activities and fun games that you can take back and explore with the clients in your care settings.

No prior musical or technology expertise is needed, just enthusiasm!

Our next Open Web Training session will take place in spring 2025.

These events are free to attend. However, we understand that organisations may find travel or staff costs a barrier to attending. For each OrchLab Open Event, financial support towards travel (when applicable) and staff expenses is available for organisations to apply for. More details about this are available on our Financial Support page.
